Guessand only joined Villa in August but struggled to play and get fit.
Crystal Palace have signed Evann Guessand on loan from Villa Aston.
Guessand is moving to Selhurst Park until the end of the season, with the Eagles having the option to sign him on a permanent deal afterwards.
The Ivory Coast international joined Villa from Nice in August on a five-year deal.
However, he made just 13 starts, with a total of two goals in 21 appearances marking a disappointing start to his Premier League career.
He will be hoping for better fortunes with Palace, who added him to their attack amid speculation over the future of Jean-Philippe Mateta. Oliver Glasner’s team is in an alarming crisis and sitting still eight points above the relegation zone.
“I’m really excited. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a very long time and I can’t wait to play with my new teammates,” Guessand told the club’s official website.
“I think with the quality we have we can achieve something.”
Chairman Steve Parish added: “Evann is an exciting talent who we are confident will flourish on the South London stage.
“His arrival further strengthens our attacking options, as we look to progress in the Premier League and Europe in the second half of the season.”
