US President Donald Trump launched the Peace Council on Thursday, saying it is one of the most important bodies ever created in world history.
This is all part of the agreement to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza – after more than two years of genocidal war waged by Israel against the Palestinians in the territory.
Trump said the council would work in partnership with the United Nations to address crises well beyond Gaza.
From now on, all eyes will be on the board’s achievements in Gaza before dealing with other conflicts.
So, will it deliver?
